Traffic should operate normally on most railways, with the exception of parts of Østfoldbanen and Drammens- / Spikkestadbanen, which are also closed this summer. This is due, among other things, to the development of the Follo Line, the Østfold Line and the maintenance of the railway infrastructure.
– We need continuous work periods for several weeks to be able to perform complex and larger work tasks on and in relation to railroad tracks. The safety of those who work is one of the reasons we have to stop traffic, says CEO Gorm Frimannslund in Bane Nor.
Here it will be closed this summer:
* Asker-Drammen in Drammenbanen, June 20 – August 2, due to the rehabilitation of the Lieråsen tunnel.
* Sandvika-Asker in Drammenbanen (local line only), from June 27 to August 2, due to work on a new contact line facility between Slependen and Høn.
* Spikkestadbanen, 20-24. July, for monitoring of work and maintenance.
* Oslo-Rygge / Mysen at Østfoldbanen. June 27-9. August due to work at Ski Station and Follobanen. There is a western line between Oslo S and Rygge and the eastern line and towards Mysen that closes. There will be trains at Østfoldbanen between Rygge and the cities of Eastfold / Gothenburg.
