Joe Biden will fight the virus by demanding the use of masks in federal buildings and on public transportation, mass testing and free vaccination for all.
From the rostrum at the Queen Theater in Wilmington, Delaware, the former vice president of the American people spoke on Friday night Norwegian time. He said everyone must stand together and work together to fight the virus, which has so far claimed nearly 224,000 lives in the United States alone.
– As soon as we have a safe and effective vaccine, it should be free to everyone, regardless of whether you are insured or not, Biden said in the speech. US President Donald Trump has also said that he should be free to get vaccinated against the coronavirus.

Among other things, Biden’s plan is to instruct all governors to order the wearing of masks. If they refuse, he will go to the local authorities.
– Because masks save lives, period, said the presidential candidate, who first removed his mask when he was about to start speaking.

Massive testing
The Biden administration, if elected, will also intensify testing and aim to test as many per day as the United States currently tests weekly.
– I believe in evidence. Donald Trump does not. I believe in science. Large-scale testing is needed, said Biden, who also wanted to create a national team to track the infection.
Another point in Biden’s plan to end the pandemic is to ensure enough protective equipment for everyone and to increase production of such equipment nationally.
– I will not shut down the economy; I have to turn off the virus.
Biden also made it clear that people must be patient and that it may be many months before he receives a vaccine that is widely available.
– We are not too divided to do great things. We are America, Biden concluded.
– I promise you: we can do this, we must do this.
