In court, the pilot in his 30s came up with an unreserved confession, Romerikes Blad writes.
He explained in court that he had ingested a “large amount” of cocaine and alcohol the night before, but that he did not believe he was under the influence of drugs when he reported to work on February 22 of this year.
The man was going to work as a copilot on the flight from Tromsø to Gran Canaria when he was detained by the police.
– This is a personnel matter, and we do not comment on personnel matters, says press contact Christer Baardsen in Norwegian to Aftenposten.
The prosecution wanted to revoke his right to fly in Norway for one year, but did not do so because the district court did not find him authorized to revoke the pilot’s license.
According to the verdict, he handed down a sentence on the spot.
