Police tweeted on Sunday morning at 05.05 about a search operation in Verdal.

– This is a man in his 30s who lived in a cabin. It is said that he left there at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday and since then no one has heard from him. He was then reported missing at 11 p.m. Saturday night, says operations manager Stig Roger Olsen in the Trøndelag police district.

Police say the search is ongoing in the Bringsåsen area of ​​Verdal municipality.

Operations manager Olsen says new dog patrols and ground teams will be deployed during the day.

– The fire service helped us last night with a drone, with a thermal or heat search camera call. A little later today, Sunday, the Sea King rescue helicopter will also be used in the search, says operations manager Olsen.
