We came home as usual every Thursday, around kl. 23.00. We had a few hours off to buy much needed winter clothes and we took shopping bags and a good mood.
– Have you had a good time ?, asked Jana Tsiba (38), our cheerful nanny.
We smiled “Yes, as always”, before putting the many bags in the bedroom. It still feels strange to meet Jana with the shopping bags full. We know very well that it is a luxury you can only dream of.
Jana jumped on the bubble red shoes, put on warm clothes, and disappeared out the door. I closed it behind her.
And I heard how the cough was upstairs.
In a country that has exceeded 2.5 million infected with covid-19, I couldn’t help but wonder:
She would have stayed home if she felt sick, right?
