Norway continued the big game at the European Championship when they beat Hungary on Tuesday night in the third and final match of the main round. In the semifinals, it is the turn of the host nation.
HUNGARY – NORWAY 21-32:
After the victory, Norway now have a solid six of six victories at the European Championship to be played in Denmark, ahead of the semi-final at 8.30pm on Friday night.
Beforehand, there was the greatest excitement about who the Norwegian ladies would meet there, but after Denmark beat Russia 30-23, it is clear that the Danes are the team that must fight to reach a possible final.
The match’s top scorer with seven goals, Nora Mørk, is looking forward to the neighboring duel and believes in a semi-final couple.
– They’ve really taken a lot of steps lately. I think Denmark has a very good team and they are big and strong in central defense, so it will be a fairly open game. There will be a lot of nerves, says Mørk.
In the second semi-final, France and the sensational Croatia team will meet.

Hergeirsson’s clear speech
Despite a comfortable lead from start to finish, the Norwegian game became more sloppy during the second half.
Coach Thorir Hergeirsson reacted during a timeout, with 15 minutes remaining in the game.
– Hello, we have been disappointed and shunned in duels.
– This is not the team I want here, was Hergeirsson’s clear speech to the Norwegian players.
However, after the game, the coach of the national team says that he is very happy with the performance in the first half, but that it got a bit difficult in the middle of the second.
– It was a good first round, and in the middle of the second round we weren’t quite at the forefront. We relax defensively and change a lot.
– But we’re good towards the end and it was nice to start shooting a bit, says Hergeirsson.
Sleep start
Led by a solid goalkeeper in Silje Solberg and a fiery counterattack Camilla Herrem, the Norwegian ladies came out in a hundred and were already leading with six goals before the game clock struck 10 minutes.

In the opening minutes, the ball repeatedly ended up in the clutches of Solberg, who found a safe Herrem in a solo race with the Hungarian goalkeeper, much to the delight of the TV3 commentators.
– Is there anyone else who has such good interaction, with such good goalkeeper passes to a super fast winger like us? Daniel Høglund said.
– It’s just a matter of catching the ball and almost throwing it blind, Gunnar Pettersen continued.
Bunnsolid solberg
After half a game, Norway was in the lead at 9-17.
– It’s Norway at its best, Høglund declared as the teams went into halftime.
One who showed particularly solid rhythm was goalkeeper Solberg, and after the first half, expert Karoline Dyhre Breivang was very impressed with what the 30-year-old accomplished.
– You have done absolutely fantastic. We can’t forget that he’s had the crown for four to five weeks and barely caught a ball and stopped on a goal, and getting 53 percent (save percentage) after the first half is absolutely fantastic, Breivang said in the TV3 studio.
Solberg was deservedly named the best on the pitch, in a match that Norway ended up winning 32-21.
