Halvor Egner Granerud, clearly disappointed, did not skimp on gunpowder after the recession in Innsbruck. Then he received criticism, and now he explains why he lost his temper.

– I was frustrated with my result today, and still am. It is a hill that I only have bad memories of and, moreover, with today’s result, emotions took over, writes Egner Granerud in Twitter.

The 24-year-old was only 29th after the first round, but jumped to 15th place. Still, he wasn’t particularly happy after the race.

– I feel a bit that, what to say, that the conditions have been favorable for the Poles throughout the week of jumping. So I think it was terribly upsetting to see it “golden” again, Granerud told TV 2.

– Was it the nightmare hill before the weekend and does it persist?

– Definitely. It is a hole. No, okay, pet the last one there. It is not a hill that has favored me, at least.

Granerud went on to say that “Kamil is so unstable it should be fine” when asked if he could find Stoch in the summary.

TV 2 hopping expert Tom Hilde was among those who reacted to the interview and thought that Granerud should have taken a little longer break before speaking to the media.

When Egner Granerud spoke at the digital press conference a bit later, he was considerably calmer.

– It is probably not necessarily that they have been very lucky, more I feel that I have had bad luck in all my jumps. If they have cuts or something above average, for example Kubacki in Garmisch. It turns out that Kamil is the last jumper today. It is not necessarily that they were very lucky.

– I am a mixture of very disappointed and very cursed. One of the craziest days I have ever had in ski jumping. I feel like on that hill here, it sucks anyway, he says during the press conference.

And on Sunday night, Egner Granerud felt compelled to explain more.

– I consider Kamil to be one of the best of all time, but I also believe that with a good performance at Bischofshofen anything can happen. There are still two jumps left, and while there is hope, I have faith, writes on Twitter.
