In early January, AP MP Hadia Tajik and her fiancé Kristian Skard shared the good news that they had their first child together, a young daughter.
The little girl, who was born by caesarean section, has been named Sofia Tajik Skard.
“Kristian and I are very grateful for the help we have received from the good people of Ullevål,” the newlywed mother wrote to her followers at the time.
And that she needed help was really true, Hadia can say in a new interview with Dagbladet Magasinet.
– Very thankful
Blood clot
During the pregnancy, the politician was about to retire, several times. They told her that everything related to the pregnancy was normal, but that she had blood clots in her lungs, something that could have cost the politician his life.
Hadia tells Magasinet that she was lucky at the time, but also in relation to the birth. As mentioned, the politician had a caesarean section when she first became a mother.
On the operating table
Before he was discharged from the hospital, the wound mounted.
– (…) It felt like there was blood everywhere. Kristian was there, but I thought it best if she took Sophia and left the room, so she wouldn’t have to see all the blood. But he listened to what was said, she says.
According to Hadia, the nurse said that the bleeding would not stop and that the doctor had to be told to prepare the operating room. In six days he was on the operating table four times.
Reveals a very dramatic birth: – Pale and lifeless
Fortunately, her fiancé was allowed to be close to her when she was at her worst. Just over two months after the birth of little Sofia, Hadia has managed to put the incident behind her.
More children
During the first part of the pregnancy, the politician told Se og Hør that in the first part she had been a bit nauseous and tired, but that her form had improved.
– Kristian already has two beautiful children, 22 and 19 years old. Now we have one together, he said then.
– We really want to be one of the family. So I bet the baby gets most of the mother’s qualities, Skard told Se og Hør.

The couple announced in May 2019 that they were engaged.
– It was very nice and moving when Kristian proposed to her. I thought we were going to do completely normal things and came naked in worn jeans and a black sweater when they were going to see us. “Next time you have to say first so I can dress up a bit,” I laughed afterwards, Tajik told See and Hear at the time.
– The worst pain of my life
In April of the same year, they bought a house together in Oslo, at a price of NOK 10 million, according to VG.
Both Tajik and Skard have been married in the past. The latter divorced his ex-wife in 2018, while Tajik and her ex-husband divorced in February 2016.
