On Friday, Parat and the Norwegian Trade Union Confederation will send a notice to the Ombudsman about a further escalation of the strike.
The extension of the strike will affect Oslo Central Station, helicopter traffic in the Norwegian Sea from Kristiansund and the Ormen Lange gas field processing plant with gas deliveries to the UK, Parat writes in a statement on Friday. .
– We have been summoned to statutory mediation on Friday, October 16, in which Riksmekler Mats Wilhelm Ruland will also participate. At the same time, the strike can end sooner if the employer complies with our demands, says chief negotiator Lars Petter Larsen in Parat in the report.
The strike began on September 16. More than 1,500 guards are on strike after the strike intensified on October 5, when another 341 guards were withdrawn.
So far, the strike has affected controls at entrances, shopping centers, receptions, mobile and area guards throughout the country, Parat says.
The organization has previously stated that it will protect aviation affected by the crisis.
– In the first instance, we will not affect aviation during the escalation of the strike. We will also not affect other employees who may be fired, Larsen told NTB when the strike intensified on October 5.
