Grocery Exchange, Supermarkets | Food Price Test – You Shouldn’t Buy Saturday Pizza Here

[ad_1]

Pizza tonight? Here you will find where you should not buy and which pizza toppings are most affordable.

It is true that there are no big price differences between pizza ingredient chains, but if you want to spend as little money as possible on food, you should pay attention.

– We see a brutal drop for Spar, dropping from first place last week to last place this week, says Tom Ystaas, price manager at Enhver.no, which conducts the price tests.

Last week we focused on taco products, and then Spar was lucky enough to have a sale that week. So they climbed all the way to the top, and the discount chains had to be beaten by the supermarket chain.

This week, the podium position looks somewhat different and there is very little to separate the low-priced chains in price. Kiwi wins the test, while Rema is only one crown behind the total price and Extra is one crown and 20 øre behind Kiwi.

– This is another confirmation that the prices are exactly the same among the low price chains, and it will be another round of disappointments, says Ystaas.

Discount chains are also nearly identical in price to fruits and vegetables, which is a bit surprising.

– There is less price movement than there usually is. We often see fluctuations to a greater extent in fruits and vegetables than in other products, Ystaas says.

He adds that Meny is by far the most expensive in fruits and veggies this week. Spar is the second most expensive, but something Ystaas notes as interesting is that several of last week’s items are also in this week’s shopping cart. They have gone from being among the most affordable to among the most expensive in cucumber, shredded cheese, pineapple, and ground beef.

Feel free to give your opinion in the survey before reading further, the article continues below.

This pizza is the cheapest

Meny og Spar is the worst priced, while the three low-priced chains Kiwi, Rema 1000, and Extra come out better, and are priced exactly the same. If we start with pizzas with two different variations with fillings, the price is somewhat different.

Variant one: 1 pc. pizza base with tomato leek, minced meat, grated cheese, pineapple 1 can and paprika 200 grams. This pizza is priced at SEK 144.96 in the low-price chains, while Spar is worse at SEK 154.41.

Variant a: 1 pc. pizza base with idun pizza sauce, grated cheese, pepperoni, pineapple 1 box. This pizza is the most affordable of these two variations. The total price at Spar is NOK 137.43, while the low-priced chains are more than ten crowns cheaper, priced at NOK 125.40.

Will increase the distance

Kiwi is very happy to have taken the cheap throne back in Nettavisen’s price comparison, after finishing second behind Spar last week.

– We are the cheapest, and we know we are, so it is gratifying to see that this is also reflected in the price test, says communications consultant Nora Mile Helgesen in Kiwi.

Even if Kiwi doesn’t beat Rema and Extra by more than one crown, they still think it’s good.

– A crown here and a crown there, in addition to our clients receiving a Kiwi plus bonus. We will always be cheaper than the other low-price chains, and we want to further increase the distance with the competitors, he says.

Spar’s press contact Hanne Evensen does not want to comment on the supermarket chain’s result this week.
