Police were notified of the suspicion on December 14 and an investigation immediately began.
The next day, the woman was arrested for fear of destroying evidence.
– Extensive research has been carried out. In the police’s opinion, the suspicion of poisoning has been reinforced, says police lawyer Bjørn Bunkholt Sæter.
The victims were discharged from the hospital after an improvement in their condition, but were later readmitted with similar symptoms.
The condition was then life threatening due to the poison he had ingested.
The victim was transferred to Rikshospitalet, but has now been discharged. According to the police, he is in good shape.
Investigated
Police believe the victim’s condition is likely due to something the defendant did.
– However, there are still many research steps, says Sæter.
For the sake of the investigation, police do not want to comment on what poison they believe was used.
The woman is charged with attempted murder of a close relative. She has been detained since she was arrested in December, but does not admit criminal guilt.
– You do not understand the accusation, but it has been fully explained to the police.

– She finds it very stressful. It is an onerous matter to have on yourself. She takes one day at a time, says Sletten.
