Sylvi Listhaug, deputy leader of FRP, recommends that the party say yes to a new crisis package.
After negotiating since last week, the government parties and the FRP agreed on Monday night on the new crisis package.
The crisis package presented on Tuesday last week amounted to NOK 17.7 billion in various measures. The measures are aimed at companies and municipalities affected by the crown.
– It looks very good now, so we will bring our parliamentary group together and review the solution that is now on the table. This is a significant improvement for companies, for aviation and we are very satisfied with the result that has now been achieved in this crisis package, says Sylvi Listhaug after the negotiations concluded on Monday night.
It will recommend the package to the party’s parliamentary group.
– Do you agree?
– The time has come to anchor in the parliamentary group, so we hope that you will also be satisfied with the result that has been achieved. Actually, the most important thing is to secure jobs in our companies, people’s jobs. That’s what it’s about. I hope that the improvements that have been made are well received by business owners and not least among those who work there, says Listhaug.

– Many important changes
The parties will present the final crisis package at a press conference at 7 pm Monday.
Listhaug currently does not want to answer questions about how many billions the package will cost.
– What is the most important change?
– There are many important changes. We will go through this later.
– Is it enough to save an aviation in crisis?
– It is at least an improvement of the package that the government presented. I hope this is a good step in the right direction. Then we will take all the details.
– If the group now says yes, do you agree with the government?
– So we agreed on this part of the state budget. So it is clear that there is a large part that we continue to work on. But this is the most important first, because I know that there are many who are sitting waiting for a result. They are worried about their company, employees are afraid of their jobs, Listhaug says.
These are the main points of the package that was presented last week:
- NOK 6.2 billion to municipalities, which will compensate for additional expenses and lower revenues during the crown crisis.
- NOK 1.05 billion in compensation to county municipalities.
- NOK 5 billion for a new compensation scheme for companies with a large drop in turnover from September 2020 to February 2021.
- NOK 1 billion for the health sector, including NOK 771 million for an emergency national reserve for infection control equipment, NOK 110 million for migraine drugs, and NOK 80 million for compensation for the practice of medical doctors. Headboard.
- It is proposed that the continuation of the temporary rules for sickness benefits for employees, the self-employed and the self-employed who have no crown, be maintained until March 31, 2021. It will cost NOK 1 billion in 2021.
- One billion crowns for temporary purchase of flights in 2021.
- Continuation of a higher unemployment benefit rate until March 31, 2021, which is estimated to cost NOK 700 million in 2021.
- Infection control expense compensation scheme for companies with hired foreign labor not using public quarantine hotels NOK 480 million will be set aside.
- NOK 300 million for a support plan for events open to the public.
- NOK 250 million for the business development plan for tourism companies.
- Continuation of the temporary regulations for the care allowance during the corona pandemic until June 30, 2021. In addition, parents will receive double contributions with care allowance in 2021. This will cost NOK 195 million in 2021.
- NOK 158 million for measures targeting vulnerable groups to alleviate mental and social strain as a result of pandemic and infection control measures.
- Establishment of a quarantine hotel system at the main airports and border crossings to avoid contamination from imports. This will cost 120 million crowns.
- In relation to the consideration of Prop. 142 S (2019-2020), it was decided to continue the compensation benefit for the self-employed and self-employed until 2020. The compensation for December 2020 will be paid in January 2021, which gives a cost Estimated NOK 100 million in 2021.
