Glimt’s boss still won’t talk gold

Bodø / Glimt continues on a steady course towards historic gold in the series. After 2-0 at home to Mjøndalen last night, the yellow team kept their distance to Molde and Rosenborg, who both won their matches.

With eight games remaining for the season, Bodø / Glimt need nine points to secure gold.

Even with a very good crown distance to the closest challenger, Molde, the Bodø / Glimt coach is looking forward to taking anything in advance.

– Can we start talking about gold now?

– No, we won’t. We have been faced with some challenges now and we have to work very hard on the field going forward to get the relationships we need in motion.

Back on the winning track

Knutsen adds that Glimt must get Runar Hauge, Sebastian Tounekti, Ola Solbakken, and Philip Zinckernagel started. The latter had to give up yesterday’s game due to injury.

Midfielder Brede Moe and treadmill Sondre Brunstad had to do it too.

– We’ll talk about a few rounds. I don’t think it’s wise to talk about things too soon, it will go wrong for me. Although we know that we have good management, something that makes us happy, says Knutsen.

Vetlesen debut

Hugo Vetlesen, who arrived from Stabæk in early October, has also suffered an injury, but made his debut against Mjøndalen yesterday.

– It is encouraging that some are returning now, I need them in the field. We need a larger group for us to have good sessions where we can build physics, intensity and interaction, says Knutsen, as Patrick Berg continues:

– It’s very important. It has hung a little sick and injured now. Then it was very gratifying that Hugo, who has had problems with his knee, made his debut yesterday. I think we will enjoy it very much throughout the fall.

– Proud to be a part of it.

Zinckernagel, who has 14 goals and 13 assists this season, will likely make it to the next game for Glimt.

– He probably needs this next week, so I think he will return to Kristiansund this weekend.

While Knutsen is somewhat defensive in the gold speech, the response is somewhat more offensive from Glimt’s captain, who was selected to the A national team for the first time this fall.

– I can speak for myself that I have faith in the group and in the club, and I am proud to be part of it.
