Norwegian health authorities believe that players of the national team must be quarantined for ten days before they can start training and playing games again.
The reason is that they have been in close contact with the vice-captain of the national team, Omar Elabdellaoui, who on Friday tested positive for covid-19 and is isolated.

But in Germany, other information is now emerging. According to Kicker magazine, Markus Krösche, sporting director at RB Leipzig, says there is no quarantine order from the Norwegian health authorities.
After returning to Germany, Sørloth must submit two negative corona tests. When he did this, he may have participated in the RB Leipzig training again, Kicker writes.
– Contrary to other reports, Norwegian players will probably not be quarantined for ten days, it is said.

On Sunday, the players of the national team were allowed to travel back to the countries where they play. But consent presupposes that they must quarantine when they return home.
It was the Oslo municipal doctor, Tore W. Steen, who gave the players permission to go home. In an email to the Norwegian Football Association, to which Dagbladet has obtained access, Steen writes:
– It will be perceived as a violation
– The quarantine period is ten days after the last contact with the infected player, see the regulation of covid § 4b. I assume they all travel to the indicated place of residence, see list, and remain at the place of residence until the quarantine period has expired.
To Dagbladet, Steen says:
– Any game in the quarantine period will be perceived from the Norwegian side as a breach of quarantine and non-compliance with the conditions that were given for the exit.
Theories about infection
Bild also writes that there are two negative corona tests that are applied in Germany. About goalkeeper Rune Almenning Jarstein says:
– On Sunday, Jarstein landed in Berlin at 2.30 pm, via Copenhagen. He must now submit two negative corona tests before he can train with the Berlin team and take part in Hertha’s game against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday at 8.30pm.

The teams of the three Norwegians will be in action on Saturday. Hertha Berlin vs Borussia Dortmund could mean a meeting between Jarstein and Haaland. Eintracht Frankfurt will host RB Leipzig at 6.30 pm this day.
