Even though you have been released, you must appear in court if an indictment is issued. According to NBC News, the trial is expected to begin in March of next year.

All four police officers who were present during the brutal detention in Minneapolis in May have been released. They were all fired the next day. Chauvin is charged with premeditated murder, while J. Alexander Kueng, Thomas Lane and Tou Thao are charged with complicity in the murder.

It was Chauvin who pressed his knee against Floyd’s neck for several minutes to make him stop breathing. He was pronounced dead the same day.

The murder sparked large-scale demonstrations and riots in several American cities, and George Floyd has become an important symbol of the Black Life Matter movement.
