– We are almost done with infection tracking, but we are not done yet. It’s a weekend and it’s not easy to reach everyone, Marta Ebbing, director of issues at Haukeland told BT on Sunday.

Haukeland tracks internally, while the municipality assumes responsibility for tracking infections in the community.

A total of 9 patients have been isolated and 42 employees are now in isolation or quarantine.
– So far, there are no critical consequences for staffing. Those infected work in several neighborhoods, so no neighborhood is seriously affected.
She says the hospital isn’t entirely sure where the infection came from.
– But it is probably an infection in the community, he says.
Six of the seven have been infected abroad, while one may have been infected in the hospital.

– We do not want to return to the situation in March and April, when some patients were afraid to contact the health service. We have good routines to protect patients and ourselves from infection. We have implemented additional measures in the emergency department.
She says the hospital will now consider adjusting the visiting schedule.
– We understand that it is difficult for patients not to receive visits from relatives, but at the same time it is a measure to maintain a sufficient distance between everyone, and to protect patients and staff from infections in the hospital.
