At least five people died in a house in Noisy-le-Sec, east of Paris. He reports to various French media on Saturday. Four of the dead are said to be children, and a woman has also been found dead.
The murdered children range from a few months to 14 years, says Le Parisien newspaper.
There must have been a family quarrel that ended in the tragedy, in which ten people participated.
Several must have been sent to the hospital after the incident, at least three of them with what is described as critical injuries.
Le Parisien writes that it is a family tragedy. However, the circumstances and the cause of the tragedy seem inexplicable.
Knife and hammer
It was one of the injured who is said to have given notice of the dramatic incident. After leaving the house, it is said that he came to a nearby bar.
There he told that a relative had attacked him with a knife and hammer, reports the BFM television channel.
There he contacted an employee, who alerted the police.
All emergency services moved to the address around 11 o’clock local time. At the scene, the wounded and dead must have been found in the vicinity of the house.
A man has been arrested after the incident. He was taken to hospital with what is described as serious injuries.
