This video was taken from inside the illegal cave party that took place in St. Hanshaugen in Oslo on Sunday night.
Police believe that up to 200 participants may have been present at the same time.
25 people had to be hospitalized for treatment and for five of them the condition remains serious.
16 percent oxygen
Dagbladet has obtained exclusive photos and videos from inside the cave party.
They show how the disused shelter near the Lovisenberg Hospital has been transformed into a rave party, fully equipped with sound and light systems.
The sound and light were powered by two units, police say. This is supposed to be the cause of the carbon monoxide poisoning that occurred.
When the fire department took measurements there on Sunday morning, only 16 percent oxygen remained in the cave. In ordinary air, there is 20.95 percent oxygen, according to Store Norske Leksikon.
– I had to breathe out
A party participant Dagbladet has been in contact with recounts how he occasionally had to go outside for fresh air.
The person also experienced that the organizers behind the party at some point lost control after it was flooded with more and more people.
The party must have been organized in connection with a birthday, Dagbladet is informed.
Dagbladet is also informed that on various occasions there must have been similar parties at the shelter in question.
The festivities must then have been smaller in scope than what took place there on Sunday night.
But like previous parties, Sunday night’s cave party must have been a birthday party for special guests, where the invitations must have come through secret Facebook groups.
– dangerous
After the party on Sunday night, the police have made a clear appeal to all participants of the party.
– Seek medical attention. Postponing it can be life-threatening, even if you don’t have symptoms, director of operations Cathrine Sylju in the Oslo police district tells Dagbladet.
The party was discovered by chance by the police. It was 3:45 when the police operations center received a message from a patrol about street youth outside the entrance to the cave.
The police patrol investigated the case further and entered the cave.
– There they found seven unconscious people, which they carried out, says operations manager Sylju.
At that time, there were between 20 and 30 people left in the cave.
In addition to the party participants, two police officers have had problems with carbon monoxide.
