On Monday afternoon, a new death was reported at the Methodist Home in the municipality of Bergen. A total of eleven residents in the Bergen nursing home have died after being infected with the coronavirus.
Death is the second in the nursing home, and a total of 34 residents have been infected with the virus in the Bergen nursing home.
More deaths in Oslo
Oslo University Hospital (OUS) announces a new death on Easter Sunday. A total of nine people have died as a result of a coronary infection in the OUS. The number of patients admitted with Covid-19 is 36 in OUS.
A resident of the Majorstutunet housing and treatment center in Oslo also died after being diagnosed with an infection, the municipality writes in a press release.
A total of 19 residents in Oslo’s 39 long-term homes have died after being infected with the virus.
Deaths in Drammen and Lillestrøm
Two new deaths in nursing homes in Drammen municipality were reported on Monday. A total of 13 people in the municipality have now died after showing an infection, according to a municipality press release.
A resident lived at the Fredholt Life and Service Center and had underlying illnesses, according to a press release.
The municipality does not want to provide more information about the second death for the sake of the relatives.
At the Skedsmo housing and treatment center, a death was also reported on Monday, the mayor of the Lillestrøm municipality reports to the Roman magazine. It is the fifth death toll in the center.
Fewer admissions
The number of inmates continues to decrease. 203 people were reported to the hospital in Norway on Monday afternoon.
6,516 people have been confirmed to be infected with the virus, and a total of 131 people have died in Norway.
There have been 1,846,679 cases of infection and 117,000 deaths worldwide, but there are a large number of deaths. There is considerable variation across countries with respect to deaths in nursing homes, nursing homes and at home.
