Update at 15.36: – The police question the owner of the operating building. He said there were 60 adult pigs and 180 newborn piglets in the building when the fire started. The extent of damage to these is unknown. A vet and a butcher are on site and assess the condition of the animals.

Two piglets died after the fire. According to the local veterinarian, it is not known if they died as a result of the fire.

There was no great danger of it spreading to other buildings, but neighbors were asked to keep doors and windows closed due to smoke.

Krossbergveien was blocked from Revheimsveien due to the development of smoke.

The fire brigade is in control of the fire.
