– Fight, damage and mood.

On Saturday night, the Oslo police were notified about 200-300 young people at Halden Pier in Snarøya. The police chose to arm themselves.

The case is being updated

– We have a relatively good number of police patrols on their way there now, Operations Manager in Oslo Police District Vidar Pedersen told Nettavisen at 21.37.

“In the last ten minutes alone, we have received six messages from there,” he added.

– Haven’t you heard anything about this tonight?

– No, now we receive the first message just before 9:30 p.m. M., Pedersen told Nettavisen.

Messages that came in from witnesses were about fights, broken windows and someone breaking into a car, the operations manager said.

Still confused

Shortly before 11 p.m., Pedersen says the situation remains unclear:

– There have been three different robberies. Four people contacted a residential house and were very scared, and they thought they had shot a car. There is damage to the car in question, but we are not sure if it was a firearm, operations manager Vidar Pedersen in the Oslo police district tells NTB.

He emphasizes that this cannot be ruled out either. The police armed themselves after receiving the message.

In addition, a girl has been deprived of a telephone and airpods. A third person also reported that he had been robbed after returning home.

Infection control

– There will be a total of 200-300 young people at the scene, the Oslo police district wrote on Twitter at 9:34 PM on Saturday night.

The operations manager believes that the messages indicate a very unfavorable situation:

– If the reports are correct and there are about 300 young people there, then it is probably an example that you do not care about infection control, and it is concerning. This is something we focus on, Pedersen told Nettavisen as police headed to the scene.

Fight and damage

At 23 o’clock, the police search the area with patrols at the same time that they control all traffic at the exit of the Snarøya area. When the police arrived at the scene around 9:30 pm, the party was apparently about to end and many were heading back to Oslo.

– A patrol has reported that the event on the site is something that has spread on social media, says Pedersen.

At 11:14 p.m., the police give up their efforts on the spot, they report on Twitter:

– We have not encountered any injured people. We continue to work on tracking what appear to be three robberies and attempted robberies in the area.
