FHI Chief Physician: – Take the vaccination class you receive and skip the cabin trip

All the other people who were offered an appointment at the vaccine center in Oslo’s Nordre Aker district this Easter week, declined the appointment, Deputy Project Manager Benedikte Varvik informs NRK.

The reason was that people preferred to go on Easter holidays.

– This means that our work takes much longer since then we have to contact new people. It’s precious time, so we wish people had postponed the holidays, he says.

Chief Physician Preben Aavitsland of the National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) says that people’s priorities can have important consequences.

– If you say no and think you can almost book an appointment after Easter, it is not certain that it will work. My call is very clear: take the time assigned to you and line up, and skip that trip in the cabin, he says.

He notes that corona vaccine doses should be set three to four days after they run out.

– Those who stay there and get vaccinated have abandoned their Easter holidays. They do this to vaccinate people. So I think people should accept the offer they receive, he emphasizes.
