“After plans to start domestic travel in Norway were known, there were some incorrect allegations,” Wizz Air writes in a press release sent Thursday morning.

The message comes after Erna Solberg’s boycott warnings on Wednesday.

Furthermore, Wizz Air writes that they respect the Norwegian working life model and will comply with Norwegian regulations.

– Wizz Air’s company culture is based on satisfied customers and employees, which is a prerequisite for success in the aviation industry, says Wizz Air’s CPO Johan Eidhagen.

E24 has sent Wizz Air several emails, but has not been able to get any response.

You think Wizz Air has difficult working conditions

Following questions from Jonas Gahr Strøre during Question Time at the Storting on Wednesday, Erna Solberg made several boycott statements.

– I will not fly with a company that refuses to organize workers, said Solberg.

– In the same way that I have never flown with Ryanair. Because ten years ago I said that it was unacceptable for me to travel with airlines that do not have adequate and orderly working conditions for their employees, he continued.

Solberg made it clear that under Norwegian law, Wizz Air cannot refuse employees to organize.

The backdrop is the statements of Wizz Air CEO József Váradi that Wizz Air “is an airline without unions.” The statement came when the company presented its plans for domestic routes in Norway.

Váradi believes that unions make companies less efficient and that it affects both taxpayers and employees. You flatly reject that it is relevant to enter into collective agreements with unions if you want to have employees in Norway:

– No, that’s not the plan. We are an airline without unions, Váradi told E24.
