Doctors treating Omar Elabdellaoui after the dramatic fireworks accident say everything went according to plan, but claim his vision is affected by the incident. Before Galatasaray’s game against Antalyaspor, he is honored by his teammates.
– Everything has been going very well so far, but eyesight is definitely affected by this incident. The right eye is slightly worse than the left, says Dr. Vedat Kaya at a press conference about Omar Elabdellaoui’s condition, according to Hurriyet.
The national team player suffered a dramatic accident on New Year’s Eve when fireworks exploded in his hand and he had to go straight to the hospital.

He was treated at the hospital until 04:00 on January 1. Kaya explains that they are considering another intervention, but it depends on how the situation develops.

Abdurrahim Albayrak, vice president of Galatasaray, says that the country’s health minister, Fahrettin Koca, has been involved in the case and called doctors to thank them for their efforts and provide the follow-up they need.
