* Critic and blogger of the Russian regime. (41). Lawyer.
* Lives in Moscow, is married and has two children.
* He started an anti-corruption campaign in 2007 buying state-controlled companies to ask critical questions at general meetings.
* In 2008 excluded from the liberal Jabloko party, where he had been active since 2000, accused of harming the party with his nationalist tendencies.
* Central to the demonstrations against Russian President Vladimir Putin in 2011 and 2012.
* Leader of the small Partija Progressa since its constitution in 2013.
* He received 27 percent of the vote in the Moscow mayoral elections in September 2013.
