Dagbladet can report today that Norway’s reopening plan will likely be presented to the people before the country takes an Easter holiday.

This is confirmed by Prime Minister Erna Solberg (H) to Dagbladet.

– We are working to present Norway’s reopening plan before Easter. And then it depends a bit on whether we finish the plan, and whether we can dare to do it according to the infection situation in Norway, says Solberg.

Thursday April 1 is Holy Thursday and the beginning of Easter. Earlier today, it was announced that the Danes are on a similar path to that of the Norwegian government.

As the National Institute of Public Health and the Norwegian Medicines Agency sat in urgent meetings after the news came from Denmark, several municipalities took action and halted use of the vaccine until the situation is clarified.

At least five Norwegian municipalities, Bergen, Stavanger, Trondheim, Sandnes and Tromsø, have kept AstraZeneca doses until they receive further messages from the Norwegian health authorities.

127,400 doses of AstraZeneca vaccine have been distributed in Norway, FHI overview shows.
