KOLDING / OSLO (VG) TV 3 handball expert Ole Erevik (39) believes that the Russian handball team should be expelled from the European Championship after the game and “skew relays” with their mouths in the red zone of the player’s hotel. The Russians deny the violations of the rules.

In the images you can see, among other things, that the players perform a form of “spoon relay”, where the spoon is sent from player to player through the mouth. The text in the images indicates that the team will show what they do in their spare time.
The images come just a day after the cameras captured Martín breaking the so-called “red bubble.”
He was not penalized for the offense, but received a warning from the European Handball Federation (EHF). See the situation here:

There are no rules in the protocol that say it is not allowed to play in the hotel, but Erevik reacts to the signal that is sent.
He believes that the Russian team should now be sent home from the championship.
– If it is possible to send a team home for stupidity, Russia should have been expelled from the championship. But I don’t think there is a legal basis for that, sadly, he says.
Russian press attaché at the European Championship, Dmitry Khristych, responds as follows when VG requests a comment on the photos:
– To be honest, it’s amazing to hear such claims. We hold a team event in accordance with all rules and regulations, in the team meeting room and with the hotel-approved sports team.

There are strict rules from the crown during this year’s European Handball Championships. These are some of the protocol rules:
- Upon admission, all participants must be able to present a negative coronal test with a maximum age of 72 hours.
- All participants are retested upon arrival at Billund airport.
- Players are transported directly to hotels, where they will be isolated in hotel rooms until the test results are negative.
- All those tested are throughout the championship in a so-called “bubble” where they are not in contact with people outside the bubble.
- Everything in the bubble tested in a maximum interval of 72 hours.
- The test is carried out under private auspices and does not place a burden on the public health service.
