Figures from Nord Pool show that electricity prices for August this year averaged between three and seven øre per kWh in various places in the country, reports TV 2.
In comparison, prices were 35 øre per kWH at the same time last year.
Analysis company Wattsight expects electricity prices to rise steadily this fall, reaching 30 øre per kWh once winter begins.
– Last week we went from 15 øre per kWh, but now it is constantly increasing every week. Therefore, people should expect higher prices in the coming months, but do not expect higher prices than what we normally see in the fall and winter. It’s just that we come from an abnormally low level, says head of analysis Tor Reier Lilleholt at Wattsight to the channel.(Terms)Copyright Dagens Næringsliv AS and / or our suppliers.
