The former top blogger was very strict with himself.
Emilie Nereng (25) is a guest on this week’s episode of Nettavisen’s podcast “Schendis,” where she talks about everything from blogging and career to privacy and future plans.
The 25-year-old quickly established himself as the nation’s largest blogger under the blog name “Voe” in 2009, and has since appeared in various television productions. Among other things, she has been on “Bloggerne” and “Skal vi danse” on TV 2, and is now seen on the TV show “Sunt og digg” on Matkanalen.
In addition, he is up to date with the cookbook of the same name, and the joy of food has become his way of life today. On Instagram, he shares recipes and tips, and on the “Foodies” podcast, Nereng addresses a variety of food and health topics weekly.
I mean, it seems that everything is going well for Nereng during the day, but it hasn’t always been like that.

– So stupid and so painful
When asked her regrets, Nereng responds that she regrets how she thought and treated herself in many of her teenage years. This time it will never come back.
– I took very, very close to all the nasty comments I received, so I spent a lot of time standing in front of the mirror and hating different parts of my body, the former lead blogger frankly says on the “Schendis” episode.

She adds that for a time she punished herself by exercising extra because she didn’t feel thin enough, something she now considers unnecessary use from her teenage years.
– It’s so stupid and painful to feel like this.
– An extremely kind girl syndrome
Nereng notes that while he largely allowed himself to be young, it was difficult when he felt that everyone around him was interested in continuing what he was doing.
She describes herself as being very strict in her youth, which in turn affected how she felt. Only those closest to her knew how Nereng really felt, and she kept most of it to herself. Only in his 20s did he take action.

Nereng went to a psychologist and got a clear idea:
The former lead blogger had created four walls for herself, where she had a list of things that she allowed herself to be. “Extremely kind girl syndrome,” the psychologist described it.
From there, it wasn’t long before Nereng realized that what he was doing was more harmful than helpful.
– It is a very protective mechanism to be a bit so strict and correct and a good girl, because then I cannot receive any criticism. So it’s something I’ve done to protect myself from outside enemies and criticism, says Nereng, who has since managed to break this pattern and is doing much better now.
