KRISTIANSUND-VIKING 3-5

It was once again the scene of the elite league after a long hiatus from selections last week.

He was especially a man who was going to steal the show when Viking clinched three points after a strong away win against KBK.

Zymer Bytyqi!

After 69 minutes, he loaded the barrel and literally shot the ball to the crossbar from just over 25 meters away. The scoreboard made it 3-1 for Viking.

That got Eurosport commentator Asbjørn Myhre completely off the ground as a commentator.

– Some of the worst I’ve seen in the 2020 Elite Series. It should be next to impossible. What a success it receives. It inflates into the top net mask, Myhre exclaimed euphorically.

He continued:

– A crazy score from one of the players in real form of the Elite Series.

Early handling

Viking took an early lead after just four minutes. Veton Berisha hit the ball from very close after a corner kick. The ball hit the Viking forward’s arm and could have been quickly disallowed, but the referee approved the scoreboard despite protests from the home team.

The battle in the northwest was close and even. The home team struggled to create big chances, but Amahl Pellegrino had a good chance after around 20 minutes.

In the 26th minute, Viking goalkeeper Arild Østbø had to leave the pitch with a knee injury. Michael Crowe was the replacement.

Five minutes before the break, Pellegrino had another chance. After a pass from Bent Sørmo, the top scorer in the Elite Series threw the ball into the far corner to make it 1-1.

The KBK player’s 17 goals this season.

During the break, Flamur Kastrati had to leave the pitch with a knee injury. He was replaced by Faris Pemi before the second half.

Ellevill second round

Viking increased to 2, 3 and 4-1 after the break. Berisha and Bytyqi scored two each and the latter put the Stavanger team fourth with less than 20 minutes to go. Then they seemed to be heading for a comfortable victory.

The Christian Michelsen boys, however, wanted it differently.

Bendik Bye, first substitute, was cut to 15 minutes from time. Then KBK received a penalty with ten minutes remaining on the clock.

Crowe saved Pellegrino’s penalty, but on the return leg the forward put his second of the day and total excitement in the match again.

A few minutes before the end, Ylldren Ibrahimaj slipped into Viking at 5-3 and scored the match with him after a hesitant second-half.

Thus, Viking rises to 22 points after 17 games.

Kristiansund remains at 27.
