On Sunday morning, the Oslo police district claims that a man in his 20s was seriously injured after being hit by a car while driving an electric scooter.

Police reported the incident just after 7 o’clock and claimed that the accident took place on Ring Road 2 of the Ullevål Hospital in Oslo. Police rushed to the scene along with an ambulance.

– There were a couple of witnesses at the scene, but no one has seen the incident itself. The electric kick cyclist was treated by health personnel and transferred to the reception for trauma with pain in the head and arm. The man did not appear to be seriously injured, Operations Manager Line Skott tells Dagbladet.

Investigation

Skott further claims that the police have questioned the driver, who was driving a taxi. The car has received some damage and Skott says the windshield is broken. The taxi driver is a man in his 40s.

So far, the police have only received one explanation from one of the parties and on that basis they have decided not to confiscate the driver’s license at this time.

– We also need to get an explanation from the electric kick rider, to have a better overview of the course of events. We have opened a case and will investigate the incident further, says Skott.
