Eddie Van Halen’s son Wolfgang says in a statement posted on Twitter that the father has “lost a long and difficult battle with cancer.” Van Halen suffered from throat cancer and died at St. John’s Hospital in Santa Monica on Tuesday, reports celebrity website TMZ.
