During the week, the negative degrees can arrive. But you can expect a sunny fall week in the south.

– High pressure is approaching from the west. South of Stad and Dovre, a lot of good weather is expected in the future, state meteorologist Siri Wiberg tells NTB.

She says that very cold fall weather is not expected, but that small clouds at night can give negative degrees indoors.

– Along the coast, it remains on the positive side, says Wiberg.

It points out that we are at a time of year when some fog problems may arise.

– With land winds along the coast, some fog can form, says Wiberg.

Snow in the north

Further north of the country, however, the weather forecast is different. In Finnmark, snow of more than 300 to 400 meters is already expected at the beginning of the week.

– During the week, the temperature drops throughout northern Norway. Subzero temperatures and showers are expected, which means a lot of snow can fall inland and at altitude, says the meteorologist.

In central Norway, a more variable week is expected.

– In Trøndelag and Møre og Romsdal it will be a little easier from the middle of the week, but with a north wind towards the end of the week, the rains will return again, says Wiberg.

Winter tires

Although good weather has been reported in the south, Wiberg points out that we are at a time of year when driving conditions should be followed.

– There may be some frost inside. Time to keep up, and in some places you should probably think about winter tires. This weekend there was snow in the mountains, he says.

– It’s weird with that, but every year you forget that winter is coming, he adds.
