This year’s edition of the popular reality show “The Farm” offers a lot of drama. Earlier this summer, it emerged that the show’s recording was stopped for 24 hours due to a violation of infection control rules.
Seven of the participants are said to have left the farm on several occasions and searched for other people who were nearby, VG reported Tuesday.
Participants must have had access to alcohol, mobile phones and food. One of the participants must have been drunk when the mentor handed out the weekly assignment to the participants.
– Some were just drits
Also, some of the participants are said to have ended up on a 70-year-old team where they were served alcohol and got drunk.
Participant Nils Kvalvik tells VG that “the production was shocked and cursed” when another participant was drunk in the middle of the day.
Another participant, Wiktoria Rønning, says she later regrets breaking the rules.
– Some were just drits. We had a lot of fun there and then, but considering the pandemic and that we put a lot on the line, I’m really sorry. I don’t think anyone was serious, but the power of influence becomes enormous when you live in a bubble and everyone wants to be a part of the fun, he tells Dagbladet.
Has consequences
To be absolutely sure that no one brought the corona infection to the farm, all participants had to be quarantined before the show’s recording began.
The editor of the show on TV 2, Kathrine Haldorsen, says the violations had consequences during filming for participants who broke the rules.
– Given the situation with covid-19, we are very disappointed that some participants chose to break the rules for infection control, and thus put all production in danger of being permanently shut down if someone was infected, Haldorsen tells TV 2.
