Eriksen shared an emotional post on Instagram on Friday.
“Rest in peace, Hugo and Ronaldo,” writes Caroline Berg Eriksen under a photo of the dogs.
“This is so indescribably painful that I wonder if my heart will feel fully again,” he continues.
Eriksen is one of the most influential people in Norway with over 300,000 followers on Instagram. She and her husband, former soccer player Lars-Kristian Eriksen, each had their own dog before they met.
“Hugo, you have been my soul mate for more than 14 years. Imagine it was just you and me in a small apartment in Oslo. You knew me so well, you always listened to me, you always understood when I needed comfort and you licked my tears when I cried, even today. Thank you for everything you have given me out of love, “he writes below the image.
Eriksen says both dogs must have fallen asleep together.
