On November 3, he lost the US presidential election by about seven million votes. On Monday, he lost the Electoral College vote by 232 votes to Joe Biden’s 306. Trump himself still claims that his election was stolen.
Trump’s defeat comes after the deadliest year in American history. So far, more than 306,000 Americans have lost their lives to the coronavirus, and the country is in the midst of another violent wave of infection.
Massive criticism
Trump has been massively criticized by many for his handling of the situation. Many experts believe that he made a bad situation much worse by politicizing and creating chaos and confusion.

Among other things, Trump held daily press conferences at the White House during the first months of the pandemic. Here he came up with an enormous amount of lies and inaccuracies.
Among other things, he attacked his own medical experts. He suggested injecting bleach as a cure for Covid-19. He made fun of people who wore face masks. He claimed that the virus would magically disappear. He claimed that the pandemic would end before Easter.
