The U.S. Supreme Court on Friday rejected a lawsuit against President Donald Trump’s plan to exclude undocumented immigrants from the census, according to NBC News.
Federal revenue is distributed
– We want them infected
The census is conducted every 10 years. The goal is to find out how many people live in the United States and where they live.
It is on the basis of the census result that power is distributed in the House of Representatives and federal revenue, and that determines how many voters each district and state gets.
In its unsigned decision, the Supreme Court said it is too unknown whether the administration can implement the plan anyway and what effect it will have. Therefore, it is not certain that Trump’s plan will be implemented.
Three Liberal judges disagreed with the majority of six.
Eleven million undocumented
There are about eleven million undocumented immigrants in the United States.
Because undocumented immigrants more often live in cities and towns, this may mean that regions with high immigration have less influence and less money.
– Will exclude immigrants
Defend the son: – Foul play
The census also has implications for Trump’s desire to reshape congressional districts. Today’s districts are based on total population, but more Republicans want them to be based on voting citizens. Democrats say such a change would exclude immigrants.
House Leader Nancy Pelosi has previously said that Donald Trump will make the country “go white again.”
