Many woke up to shocking news Friday morning: President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump tested positive for the coronavirus.
Now there are unconfirmed messages from White House correspondents about when Trump started showing symptoms. This is said to have happened on Wednesday, the same day he held a public meeting in Duluth, Minnesota and attended a fundraiser at a private home in Minneapolis, according to the AP news agency.

Unusual “short” speech
Some blamed Trump for being tired due to the campaign’s intense schedule, while others began to worry that he had received COVID-19, writes Jacobs.
Steve Herman, a White House correspondent for Voice of America, notes that the president left the scene in Duluth after just 45 minutes.
– It was cold and windy. Everyone assumed that’s why he gave a relatively short speech. Usually speaks from one hour to 75 minutes, writes Twitter.

Counsel Hope Hicks, who tested positive first, went with Trump to the election rally in Duluth on Wednesday. Hicks was also with the president for the first presidential debate against Joe Biden on Tuesday.

Some advisers blamed the busy campaign week, writes the New York Times, which also notes that Trump kept Wednesday’s speech unusually short.
Late on Thursday night local time, and therefore early morning Norwegian time, Trump himself confirmed that he and first lady Melania tested positive for COVID-19.
