Dr. Kenneth Remy is a researcher at Washington University in St. Louis and a physician at two Missouri state hospitals in the United States, according to CBS News.

In a video, Remy has attempted to recreate how coronary patients can experience serious illness with the coronavirus.

He says that it is not so easy to breathe when the oxygen saturation in the blood is below 80.

– This is what it looks like when you breathe 40 times a minute, it says in the video.

– this is horrible

In protective gear, he stands in front of the camera and creates a perspective of how being a patient can be experienced with a doctor on him.

– Listen, this is horrible. I don’t want to be the last person to look into your scared eyes, writes Dr. Kenneth Remy on his Twitter account.

Remy encourages people to follow tips to prevent coronavirus infection. In the United States, the coronavirus has killed more than 260,000 people, according to data from Johns Hopkins University.

Ask people to follow infection control rules

– This is what you will see at the end of your life, if you do not start wearing masks when you are in public. When we don’t keep our distance, or we wash our hands frequently. I promise you, this will be the last thing you see, he says in the video.

In Missouri, the number of corona infections is increasing. Each day about 4,000 new cases of infection are reported in the state.

He has treated more than 1,000 corona patients, writes CNN.

90,000 hospitalizations

In an interview with CBS, Remy tells why he made the video.

In the middle of the night, I called families to tell them that their loved ones had sadly died from the coronavirus, Remy says.

He adds that it is one of the worst phone calls you can make.

More Americans than ever are hospitalized for coronavirus. On Friday, more than 90,000 hospital admissions were recorded as a result of the virus, writes CBS News.

More than 2,200 deaths were registered as a result of the coronavirus in the United States on Thursday. This is the highest number per day since May.

Dread the days after Thanksgiving

Doctors in the United States are concerned and fear that the days after Thanksgiving will be dark, unless people take seriously warnings from health authorities to keep their distance and wear face masks.

“My concern for the next six to twelve weeks is that if we don’t get it right, America will see the darkest days in modern American medical history,” Dr. Joseph Varon told CNN.

Varon is Chief of Staff at United Memorial Medical Center in Houston, Texas. He states that the hospital is already full of corona patients and expects more to be admitted after Thanksgiving.

– I have just opened two new wings, so that we have space to receive patients. I know many will get sick after Thanksgiving, says Varon.
