The Norwegian has been out due to injury for several months.
Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder confirms that Sander Berge has been out with injury for three months. Wilder commented on the Norwegian’s injury situation after Sunday’s 1-1 game against Brighton.
Berge suffered a stress injury in the deal against Manchester United on Thursday.
– He’s been away for three months. It was a regrettable injury, he tiptoed the ball and broke tendons to pieces, Wilder said at Sunday’s postgame press conference.
The 22-year-old has been one of Sheffield United’s best players this season. The club is struggling at the bottom of the Premier League and has only managed to score two points from its first 14 matches this season. Therefore, the injury message is very uncomfortable for the club.
Ståle Solbakken brings out its first national team in March. It will be difficult if Berge is ready to play in that collection.
