The second day of the Supreme Court case against Donald Trump began in 1800, and today it is the prosecution that presents evidence.
Congressman Jamie Raskin, and others leading the case on behalf of the Democratic majority in the House of Representatives, will show, among other things, previously unreleased videos of some of the many security cameras within Congress, according to the Washington Post.
– We want to show that President Trump was by no means an innocent observer of what happened on January 6, as he has claimed. He left his role as president and became a rebel leader.
–What he did was the biggest betrayal of the presidency in American history, Raskin said as today’s Senate hearing began.
He said senators should see, hear and digest the evidence tonight and asked teachers and parents to avoid the children in the photos that will be displayed.
So far, more than 200 protesters have been charged with various criminal acts following what happened at the end of a large demonstration in support of President Trump.
-Trump could have stopped the attack
Congressman Joe Neguse says Democrats want to show that Trump provoked the attack on Congress and led protesters to believe it was their patriotic duty. Trump also promised to protect them.
Democrats have divided the evidence into three categories:

- The harmful effects.

It can go faster than expected
Democrats and Trump’s attorneys have 16 hours each to present evidence to the Senate.
Evidence submission is expected to take less time than this.
Both sides want the Supreme Court case resolved during the week, according to the Washington Post.
After only 6 Republican senators voted yesterday for the case to continue, it is highly unlikely that the party will agree to find Trump guilty on the charge of inciting violence against US authorities.
It will take 67 more votes to try Trump, and therefore 17 Republican senators must participate in his trial.
Trump is being investigated in Georgia
At the same time that a highly politicized federal court case is underway in Washington, the Atlanta tax authority has launched an investigation into attempts to reverse the election result in the state of Georgia.
The criminal case comes after Trump twice called Georgia bureaucrats who were responsible for holding the presidential election there and asked them to reverse Joe Biden’s election victory.
Just before the takeover of Congress on January 6, Donald Trump attempted to pressure the Secretary of State in Georgia to “find enough votes” to convert the election result in favor of Donald Trump before he was sent to Congress for his formal approval.
