Health personnel worked with CPR after a person was pulled from a burning house in Rogaland, writes Stavanger Aftenblad. The woman was first described as seriously injured, but shortly before 1:30 am, the director of operations at the scene, Stein Toriussen, confirmed to Dagbladet and other press at the scene that the woman was dead.
– The one in the house is dead. Then we go back to what the reason is, says Toriussen.
– Are we facing a murder case?
– I can’t comment on that, says the task leader.
Arrested man
Police launched a massive, armed search for a possible perpetrator when they found the injured woman.
– As a result of the injuries suffered by the woman, a search of the aggressor was initiated. Around 00.15, a man was arrested at another house in Ålgård, reports police lawyer Fredrik Martin Soma in a press release at 1 o’clock.
The Police say that they will continue working with the technical investigations in the place throughout the night. They will also conduct witness interviews.
Armed police pursuit
The leader of the police task force at the scene, Stein Torjussen, previously told Aftenbladet that they are looking for a perpetrator. The police are armed.
– A lady is seriously injured. We are now actively searching for the perpetrator due to his condition, he says.
In a press release shortly after midnight, the police write that the woman has been taken to hospital in critical condition.
– The police use all available crew in the search, the police stated in the press release.
At 11:15 PM, Glenn Bjarne Dirdal at Rogaland Brann- og Redning tells Dagbladet that the fire was extinguished 10-15 minutes ago. He says they took a person out of the house with unknown damage. Police were notified of the fire on 22.22.
– We don’t know anything about the cause, says Dirdal to Dagbladet.
The house that burned down is a vertically divided house in Ålgård, police write on Twitter. According to the police, the house was on fire when they arrived at the scene.
It is unknown how many people were in the house when it began to burn.
