– The ruling is in line with what we have asked, says Line Dreier Ramberg, Trøndelag Police District Prosecutor.

Police launched an investigation after receiving a message from St. Olav Hospital on Monday after a child was admitted with internal injuries on Friday, December 4.

Baby died Thursday

The boy, who is less than a year old, was pronounced dead Thursday afternoon at St. Olav’s Hospital.

– An important focus for the police now is mapping the child’s recent time. We have conducted several interrogations. Technical examinations have been conducted and an autopsy will be performed in the next few days, which may provide more information on the cause of death, says Dreier Ramberg

Family members have been notified and are being cared for by the municipality’s crisis team and the family contact of the police.

Both the accused woman and man deny their criminal guilt. They suspect that they have inflicted great internal damage on the baby.
