After several postponements, “Cyberpunk 2077”, which is one of the most prominent games of the year, was released on December 10 last week.
Overall, the game has been acclaimed by the gaming press and at the time of this writing it is at 90 points out of 100 possible in the Metacritic review database. Despite the good numbers, the launch has not only been a dance of roses for developer CD Projekt Red.
For that score, the PC version applies. If you look at user feedback on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the situation is different.
On Xbox One, “Cyberpunk 2077” has a “User Score” of 3.7 out of a possible 10. On PlayStation 4, it is even worse: 2.8 points.
The comments give déjà vu to last year’s “Anthem”.
TEST: Playstation 5 – crazy!
Sorry for the PS4 and Xbox One version
Among other things, “Cyberpunk 2077” has received a lot of criticism for how the game looks and plays. The gaming website Gamer.no describes it as “a technical touch.”
In particular, the game has been criticized for running on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The experience has been simply bad and well below expectations on both platforms.
In a statement, CD Projekt Red apologizes for how the game is lived on PS4 and Xbox One.
– We should have spent more time making sure it worked better on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, the company writes.
Updates on the way
At the same time, the developer promises to fix bugs and instability to increase the overall experience. The first update came shortly after launch, while the next one is expected in a week.
Then two major updates are planned: the first in January and then one in February.
– These should fix the biggest issues players experience on previous generation consoles. We provide information about updates before launch.
Offer a refund
Additionally, players are offered a refund for the game.
– We appreciate you giving us a chance, but if you are not satisfied with the game on your console and do not want to wait for updates, you can request a refund, write the study.
