Fyens Stiftstidende, writes that it was the deceased neighbor’s son who discovered it all, when he was on an inspection at his father’s house on September 7.
To his surprise, he discovered that four large trees had been removed in the garden.

It turned out that the trees had bothered him for several years.
He explained that he had been bothered by the trees and had therefore cut them down and dragged them through the hedge towards him. He expressed that he assumed it did not matter since the neighbor was already dead, says Christian Billesø and adds that he does not agree.
– The fact that an owner is dead does not give the neighbor the right to enter his land and cut down trees.
The man is now charged with vandalism.
