The dissemination of lists of people who are supposed to have a crown is spreading so much on social media that Utekontakten in Alta municipality on Friday night went against the invention on Facebook.
There is an ongoing infection outbreak in the youthful environment of the city.
According to Utekontakten, the list abounds on Snapchat, Messenger, and Instagram. In one of several lists there are more than 20 names.
TV 2 has seen several of the lists that are spreading among the youth of the city.
– It is very badly done against those who have their name on the list and it can also make it more difficult to want to take the test, when you know that you end up on the “black list” if you are unlucky enough to test positive, the municipality writes. .
Not infected “blacklisted”
Outdoor contact Ann Helen Paulsen in Alta Township says she has been sent many versions of the list.
– I have received screenshots of the lists that are in mystory on Snapchat and Instagram, Paulsen tells TV 2.
She explains that it is the young people who make the list, possibly adding new names and passing it on to other people.
It was iFinnmark who brought up the case for the first time.
– Where do they get the information that people are infected?
– I think many of the infected have told those in the know to report, and some have also posted it on Snapchat to report. It has been collected, the name also ended up on the lists that are made, says Paulsen.
– But I have also been contacted by people who do not have a crown, but their name is on the list, continues Paulsen.
The outside contact says they have received at least 15 snapshots about the list.
When young people share the list of corona-infected people, Paulsen says they share another text as well.
– They write, among other things, “call the police if you see them”, “here are the ones with covid” and “stay away from these”.
Paulsen says that it is mainly the young who are on the list, but also the adults.
– There are probably 1000 people who have received the list. It would have been nice if this had consequences. Sharing names with each other is gossip, but posting names on lists isn’t right, he says.
Take a great distance
Mayor Monica Nielsen (Labor Party) in Alta Township reacts strongly to the coronal list.
– I strongly deviate from the fact that private medical information is shared. It’s a private matter, Nielsen tells TV 2.
The mayor says she received a query on Friday about the list that abounds on social media.
– The municipality contacts all the people who are in close contact or who are infected. If you are concerned about your name appearing, it is not correct unless the municipality contacted you, says Nielsen, continuing:
– Who has the coronavirus is not something that the municipality wants to be published, unless they want to stand out. I strongly dissociate myself from the fact that information of this kind is spread, he says.
The mayor says that it is the police who assess what consequences such an exchange of health information may have.
She says the coronalista will be the topic at the municipality’s crisis meeting on Monday.
The police will investigate
Lensman Øyvind Lorentzen in Alta says he does not know the Coronalists, but says police are launching investigations.
– It would be natural for the police to investigate, among other things, the scope, because it is very unfortunate that health information comes out that way, and the fear that your name will be hung in that way can lead to people refusing to do it the proof. . This makes infection detection extremely difficult for infection detection work, Lorentzen tells TV 2.
He also says lists can create fear.
– There is no one who has control over the actual content on these lists. There may be people who are not infected standing there and that creates fear.
Lorentzen says posting medical information about others is illegal.
He says it is difficult to answer at this time whether the sharing of health information will have consequences, but says they will follow up. He says that, among other things, they will contact the municipality of Alta.
– We encourage people not to participate in this and not to share the lists, he says.
In Alta, nine new crowning traps were recorded on Friday. Between 200 and 300 people are in quarantine.
