On Friday morning, it became known that two people from the municipal emergency department (KAD) in the Follo LMS reception department had been diagnosed with coronary heart disease, Østlandets Blad writes tonight.

In the infection remediation work, five other people have been found to be infected, Mayor Hanne Opdan and municipal chief physician Kerstin Anine Johnsen Myhrvold told the newspaper.

– I laughed

– It is not ideal to have an outbreak in a medical facility, but we hope to be in control soon, City Chief Johnsen Myhrvold tells Dagbladet.

– An outbreak is always serious, but we believe that this is a scenario for which we are prepared, he adds.

He adds that they now both perform intensive infection screening and extensive testing.

The municipal supervisor tells NTB that more cases are expected and that the municipality is now continuously working to define close contacts.

We currently have no figures on the number of people in quarantine, but we are continually working on this.

– We are working to establish contact with the rest of the municipalities involved. There are many people who should be notified, Myhrvold says.

– prepared

– We must prepare for the fact that this may be the beginning of a major outbreak, says Mayor Opdan to Østlandets Blad.

For privacy reasons, the municipality will not give more details about who the infected are, nor will it respond if the infected are patients or employees of the center, says Mayor Opdan a Dagbladet.

– What we can say is that the infected are affiliated with the center, he says.
