Finding your own dead child is probably one of any parent’s biggest nightmares. For the mother of Dennis Johansson (28) from Borås in Sweden, this nightmare came true this week.
– It’s completely inconceivable. I didn’t know what to do, says Borås Tidning’s mother.
Dagbladet has been in contact with Dennis’s family, who approved of us discussing the death and using a photo of the 28-year-old. Expressen in Sweden has also written about the case.

It was during Wednesday a week and a half ago that Dennis began to feel bad. He stayed at home. The next day she had lost both her sense of smell and her sense of taste, and then she was tested for the coronavirus.
Dennis’s mother tells Borås Tidning that her son tested positive for the virus. She also says she had a sore throat and cold symptoms in the first few days. He also had a fairly high fever, up to 40, but he shouldn’t have had trouble breathing.

Days passed, and on Wednesday of this week, Dennis said during a phone call with his mother that he was feeling better.
The next day, Thursday, they talked on the phone again, and then Dennis said he was feeling much better. His mother also had this impression, telling Borås Tidning that the son seemed much more alert, but that she experienced shortness of breath when they spoke.
In the afternoon he called him again to see how he was doing. But then the son didn’t answer the phone. She tried calling him again, but got no answer.
Then she got restless and decided to go home with him, writes Expressen.
In the apartment, he found Dennis lifeless on the couch.
Autopsy
The family says they have been in shock after the death. They also say that it has been decided that an autopsy will be carried out, in order to be able to determine the cause of death, despite the fact that they themselves are convinced that it is the covid-19 virus that caused the death.
– You think it is the elderly who die, but it is not like that. “We have learned that now, and now we are trying to overcome this,” says the family.
