The first shipment of Pfizer’s coronary vaccine has left the factory and is on its way to Norway, the company tells VG.

The trucks with the vaccines have left the Puurs factory in Belgium, the newspaper writes.

The first vaccine delivery of just under 10,000 doses to Norway will arrive on December 26, and the first vaccine will be delivered on December 27.

It is the same date that the other EU / EEA countries receive the vaccine. The next installment will be on December 28.

Sent to the EU

On Christmas Eve, the first supply of the coronary vaccine from Pfizer and Biontech was shipped to all 27 member countries.

The vaccine trucks left the factory in Puurs, Belgium, on Christmas Eve morning. Thus, everything is ready for vaccination on December 27, 28 and 29.

– I am glad to see that the first covid-19 vaccines were sent to all EU countries at the same time. In a few days, the first Europeans will be vaccinated, writes the president of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen in Twitter and continues:

– Together we will overcome the pandemic.

Delivery from Norway is also on the way. Just under 10,000 doses are on their way to eastern Norway.

The next installment will be on December 28. The EU approved the vaccine on Monday.
