Several votes in the Conservative Party and the Green Party have expressed to Dagbladet some frustration with the growth of the Center Party in recent months. They believe the press allows Trygve Slagsvold Vedum to get away with critical questions too cheaply.

Question 2): Trygve Slagsvold Vedum promises the reopening of the bailiff’s offices, the grain depots, the northern Norwegian line and several ships for Hurtigruten. Why isn’t money reserved for these promises in the Center Party budget?
Response from Vedum: It is pure number magic. We have reviewed what has actually been saved in the sheriff’s office rental costs. When we checked 60 of the sheriff’s offices that have been removed, the rental cost saved was less than NOK 10 million in 2016.
